Crystal data of barium iodate monohydrate single crystals obtained with oscillation and Weissenberg photographs are reported. Crystals are grown by gel technique. Ba(IO 3 ) 2 .H 2 O is orthorhombic with space group Fdd 2. The lattice parameters with four formula units per cell are a = 7.96 (2), b = 9.01 (3) and c = 9.78 (5) Å.
