Triple orthovanadates M I BaCr 2 (VO 4 ) 3 (where M I = Li, Na or Ag) are synthesised by solid‐state reaction. These compounds are found to have orthorhombically distorted langbeinite structure. The crystallographic parameters of these compounds for an orthorhombic cell with P 2 1 2 1 2 1 as the space group and containing four formulae per unit cell are reported.
