Sodium calcium sulphate [Na 4 Ca(SO 4 ) 3 ] crystallizes with a hexagonal (rhombohedral) unit cell, a = 15.737 (3), c = 22.388 (4) Å; Z = 18; D x = 2.616 g cm −3 , D M = 2.62 g cm −3 . An indexed powder pattern and IR absorption data are given.
