An ordered ilmenite phase of the compound MnSnO 3 is evidenced from powder patterns. The hexagonal and rhombohedral unit‐cell parameters are respectively: a = 5.358 (1), c = 14.505 (4) Å, Z = 6 and a = 5.740 (1) Å, α = 55.65 (2)°, Z = 2: D m = 6.11, D x = 6.12 g cm −3 .
