Apophyllite from the Poona region of the Deccan Traps has been confirmed to be tetragonal, space group P 4/ mnc , a = 8.965 (3), c = 15.756 (7) Å, at 25°C, Z = 2 and measured density = 2.369 g cm −3 at 33°C. Complete powder data and chemical analysis are given.
