A computer program has been written in Fortran for the numerical calculation, using generalized spherical harmonics, of the texture of a sample, even when it has no symmetry. Automatically plotted pole figures, corrected and normalized, make it possible to begin to control the results. Reconstituted pole figures are plotted as a function of C m ν l . The calculations, based on the theoretical developments of Bunge [ Mathematische Methoden der Texturanalyse . (1969). Berlin: Akademie Verlag] were carried out with different numerical analyses so as to reduce the size of the calculation and the time taken.
