A method of determining the angles between the same planes in neighbouring blocks is described. The reflecting planes therefore may or may not coincide with the crystal surface. The method allows the determination of the total angle between the blocks from the divergent‐beam (DB) X‐ray patterns. The paper gives an example of the determination of the angles between blocks in an NaCl crystal. The experimental precision was 3′.
