The formation of GP zones cannot be suppressed by a liqiusol‐quenching method, where the quenching rate is very high. The mean value for the zone radius in the quenched specimens was relatively small (about 8 Å). The formation of the ɛ′(h.c.p.) phase begins at temperatures above 100°C after a short incubation period.
