The qualitative analysis of textures based on the concept of limited fibre textures can be improved by use of new stereographic nets. The theoretical pole figures have been compared to the experimental figures in the case of the ideal rolling textures of copper. The comparison shows that the results obtained constitute a good representation of the studied texture. The fibre axes thus determined are located in significant planes in the sample as well as in the crystal. The classical inverse pole figures have also been drawn.
