The lattice parameters of single‐crystal molybdenum ditelluride have been measured by means of electron diffraction over the temperature range 100 to 470 °K. The following values were obtained for the lattice parameters at 295 °K, a = 3.5139± 0.0004 and c = 13.964± 0.005 Å. A value of 3.5188±0.0056 Å for the a parameter was also determined from the rotational moiré fringe pattern.
