A new film instrument has been built which permits exploration and undistorted photography of nearly all of reciprocal space with a single mounting of the crystal. To accomplish this both the Buerger precession and the de Jong–Bouman arrangements are combined in the one instrument. The principles, technique for optimum use, and some applications of the instrument are described.
