The small‐angle X‐ray slit‐correction computer programs of Heine & Roppert, Schmidt and Hossfeld have been compared. The scattering function for monodisperse spheres was used as the test case. With the exception of relatively minor differences in machine time and ease of application, all three programs appear adequate in meeting the usual demands of the experimenter.
