A simple apparatus for students is described which makes possible the production of stereographic and gnomonic projections by the use of near‐spherical masks cut from ping‐pong balls. By manipulating the masks the evolution of one standard projection from another may be clearly demonstrated. Projections of any orientation may be produced and permanently recorded on tracing paper.
