Huntite structure compounds with the formula RE Fe 3 B 4 O 12 ( RE = La 3+ , Nd 3+ , Sm 3+ , Eu 3+ , Gd 3+ , Tb 3+ , Dy 3+ , Ho 3+ and Y 3+ ) have been synthesized. X‐ray powder diffraction patterns and cell parameter data are reported. The infrared spectrum confirms the triangular coordination of boron in these compounds.
