Suboptimal ventricular arterial coupling (VAC) is one of the pivotal determinants of inefficient heart performance despite appropriate administration of fluids or vasopressors in shocks. Here, we investigate the performance of VAC in patients who are unresponsive to fluid administration in septic shock.
