A bstract : This article represents the proceedings of a symposium, “Development of Novel Pharmacotherapies for the Treatment of Alcohol Dependence: Focus on Antiepileptics,” presented at the 2003 annual meeting of the Research Society on Alcoholism in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The organizers and cochairs were Bankole A. Johnson and Robert M. Swift. The presentations were (1) Development of topiramate in the treatment of alcoholism, by Bankole A.
