We have previously shown that correction of hypomagnesemia by magnesium (Mg) supplementation ameliorates chronic cyclosporine A (CsA) nephropathy via inhibiting gene expression of fibrogenic molecules. Experiments were conducted to further elucidate upstream mechanism of the beneficial effects upon CsA nephrotoxicity.
