The Center for Drug Discovery Innovation, CDDI, enables translation of novel biological and technology discoveries through facilitating connections between scientists and engineers with different translational expertise, educational seminars and training opportunities, and a number of new UCSD‐based Resource Centers. Here we present details on our Resource Centers. The Center for Compound Resources provides unique natural product libraries developed at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and other small molecule entities synthesized at UCSD. The UCSD Drug Development Pipeline Core provides preclinical small molecule in vitro ADME property assessment, snapshot PK and PD assay development. The Center for Translational Drug Design offers a menu of early discovery support activities ranging from expert state‐of‐the‐art computational chemistry, access to software and database tools, grant writing support and lead to IND project management. Together these Cores allow faculty at UCSD and UC‐wide to leverage their discoveries to development stages and/or pharmaceutical partnership.
