We studied kinetics of nucleosome disassembly mediated by histone chaperone Nap1. We found that DNA and dimer motion is not synced during the disassembly of a nucleosome. Histone acetylation seems to not alter the pathway of disassembly, however, the acetylation affects the kinetic rates of each step of the disassembly, based on which we explained the biophysical meanings of the histone acetylation.
