A unique, original (1832, january 24th) letter written by Georges Cuvier to Charles Bell about the models of anatomy in “papier mâché” by the Dr Auzoux belonged in november 2015 to the Scientific Library Alain Brieux ‐Gillot in Paris. We have translated this letter in english and analyzed the relationships between Cuvier and Bell which were celebrities of their times. This presentation of Dr Auzoux who travelled in England in 1832 to the english intelligentsia was a great help for the international development of his young firm (Saint Aubin d'Escroville and Paris).
