An original edition of the Albinus “Tabulae sceleti et musculorum…” belonged to the “Librairie scientifique Alain Brieux ‐ Gillot” in Paris, in November 2015. This large ( in plano ) volume was very complete of the very famous 12 plates of the Homo perfectus. The 17 plates of the anatomical details and the engraved dedication were missing here. We have analyzed the anatomical veracity of each plate. This book was published two hundred years after the Vesalius “ de Humani fabrica”. Bernard Siegfried Albinus (1697–1770) was hired as a Professor in Leyden when he was 24 years old. He began to work with the artist Jan Wandelaar (1690–1759) from 1725 until the publication in 1747 of this monument of the gross‐anatomy. The foreground of the plates are marvelous, however we will focus on their anatomical aspects. One time again, one can regret that the drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci were not still known at this time, as in this occurrence would had happened, the work of the extraordinary team Albinus ‐ Wandelaar would had gone scientifically still further.
