LBW births according to WHO criteria with low and extremely low birth weight and gestation less than 34 weeks: 200 were born at term: 53. In 76% of cases dominated the boys. In the maternity ward, these children received treatment for: cerebral ischemia ‐ 84.5%, congenital pneumonia ‐ 55% of the disease specific to the perinatal period ‐ 23.6%. A high percentage of cerebral ischemia due to the fact that neurological disorders combined with almost all diseases especially in LBW and includes a number of symptoms characteristic of all clinical entities neonatal period. This is due as well to the immaturity of the nervous system of infants, the breakdown of adaptive mechanisms, as well as the background on which the pregnancy develops.
