Models and simulators have replaced the cadaver lab and vivarium to teach anatomy relevant to perform procedures and operations. 3D jet printers and teleconferencing have changed the way we see anatomical relationships. My talk will introduce the ACS‐ASE Skills‐based Simulation Curriculum for Medical School Years 1‐3 and the ACS‐ APDS curriculum for residents. We will share data on using teleconferencing technology to enhance anatomy teaching in the preclinical years, during the 3 rd year Surgery Clerkship, and MIS fellowships. Realistic 3D models of the liver, lung, aorta and breast pathology may transform how we train and prepare for an operation .
