Applying lab findings that people tend to eat more in the company of others, we report survey patterns whereby overweight people tend to have relatively more mid‐week eating partners. In contrast, we find no differences in the number of meals eaten by overweight people compared with the rest of our sample for any day of the week. These findings suggest that reducing the number of midweek eating partners may help facilitate weight management.
