Like other agents for ulcerative colitis (i.e., natalizumab), stable gastric pentadecapeptide BPC 157 may affect multiple sclerosis (MS). BPC 157 is anti‐ulcer peptide (GEPPPGKPADDAGLV, M.W. 1419) stable in human gastric juice, successful for inflammatory bowel disease, phase II, wound treatment, no toxicity or side effects reported, LD1 not achieved, effective alone without carrier. Along with these, particularly for MS, direct healing of the severely injured muscles and severely injured nerves and brain injuries with BPC 157, not mentioned with DMDs, may define a particular way not relied on immunomodulation. Cuprizone diet 2.5% was combined with BPC 157 (/kg) in drinking water, μg or 10ng, 0.16μg or 0.16ng/ml/12ml/day/rat till the sacrifice after 4 days, with the additional ig (/kg) cuprizone 1g and BPC 157 μg or 10ng once daily. Several times higher cuprizone diet and regimen exaggerate and speed up the damaging process; nerve damage in various brain areas, most prominent damage in corpus callosum, laterodorsal thalamus, nucleus reunions, anterior horn motor neurons. Consistently less nerve damage was in all damaged areas in all BPC 157‐cuprizone rats, also in those areas that were most affected. Consistently, BPC 157 counteracts cerebellar ataxia, rescues impaired forelimb function. Thereby, we advocate BPC 157 also in MS therapy. Supported by Grant 108–1083570‐3635, Croatia
