As a major threat to human well‐being, diabetes mellitus is one of the most complex disorder characterized by hyperglycemia. Drugs have been developed to cure diabetes mellitus with several principle, such as pancreatic beta cell stimulator and hypoglycemic action, but the side effects were expected from most of drugs in long‐term administration. Therefore, there has been a growing interest in alternative therapeutic use of natural products for diabetes, especially those derived from plants. This study was carried out to investigate beneficial effects of herbal plants water extract on enzymes activities of glucokinase(GK), pyruvate dehydrogenase‐α and acetyl‐CoA carboxylase(ACC).
