The aim was to evaluate some indicators nutritional status of students in Astana. Calculation of the energy of students was based on estimates of basal metabolism (BM) according to the equation of Harris‐Benedict and the rate of physical activity (RFA), established by the timing. Mean values of BM were 1561,34±48.17 for men and 1360,66±42.14 for girls. RFA was 1.87±0.08 for men and 1.75 for girls. Diurnal energy consumption were 2864,59±61,30 for men and 2382,36±59,47 for girls. Ketle index's mean values ranged from 20,02±3,34 for men and 21,71±3,47 for girls. Underweight were 23.14% men and 19.1% girls. Daily caloric foods were lower than the daily consumption of energy among men. Estimate of nutritional status revealed a low intake of protein (69 g/day), including animal (51.3%), nutrition imbalance, due mainly starchy food.
