Osteoporosis, a condition where bones become porous and can break easily, is a major public health threat. The National Osteoarthritis Foundation (NOF) estimates that 10 million Americans currently have the disease and an additional 34 million are at risk of developing osteoporosis. The objective of this study was to determine if there is a difference in knowledge, attitudes and/or behavior about osteoporosis based on age. Data was gathered from adults (n=311) between the ages of 18 and 90 using a survey developed by the NOF. Data was analyzed using chi square. Results revealed a significant between older and younger respondents on 37 of 89 variables.
