A two‐semester Structure and Function of the Human Body Online lecture course was developed and run during summer and winter intersession to provide students with an opportunity to take the course through the University of Scranton (U of S) without having to come to campus. Creation of this course was ideal for students who were changing majors, repeating the course, non‐traditional, or transferring to the U of S. Course materials, homework assignments, and exams were all administered online. Online, live chat office hours were also held one day a week. Based on course evaluations, 28 students out of 45 responded to the evaluations and found the BIOL 110 online course to be excellent, on average. For BIOL 111 online, 8 students out of 12 responded to the evaluations and also found the course to be excellent, on average. Development of course syllabi, assignments, and exams will be discussed.
