We will engage each other in discussion about the roles and responsibilities authors, editors, reviewers and readers play in ethical considerations involved with academic publication. Ethical conflicts may arise in each of these levels of the publication process. We will discuss how this may occur and how it is identified and handled. To do this I will present two or three publication case histories to focus the discussion. Participants should be prepared to explore the ethics of academic publication, so that all participants will walk away with a synthesis of how problems arise, who has the responsibility to raise questions and how to resolve the issues.
