Resilience can be defined as the ability to manage stress and to prevail despite adversity. In medical school there are many stressors that can affect student performance. This is why we believe that those students that can better manage stress are those that have better achievement. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between resilience and achievement. Demographic variables were analyzed in regular and repeating students, as well as their achievement and resilience level using the Connor‐Davidson scale. A direct relationship was observed between resilience and achievement, but not with demographic variables.
