Determining the source and extent of a musculoskeletal injury or disease begins with the physical examination. This portion of the session will focus on the assessment of the musculoskeletal system. Three upper extremity case studies will be presented along with the physical exam assessment performed in the evaluation of each problem. This will be followed by discussion of suitable questions directed to students which can be used in small group discussion covering teaching points and training the students to think functionally.
