Background We had demonstrated that ginseng panaxadiol saponin monomer RB1 have protective effect by endothli‐1 induced myocardial ischaemia. Objective The study is to examine the effect ginseng panaxadiol saponin (PDS) of on the rat of heart failure. Method We can distinctly prepare the model of heart failure by wu babutuo. Utilizing nitroglycerin and isosorbide dinitrate as positive controls, observe the effect of PDS, these index were examine by HR, LVP, +dp/dt max − dp/dt max, after made heart failure. Normal HR 287.99+/−41.78, LVP (kPa) 21.46+/−3.07, +dp/dt max 602.95+/−85.19, − dp/dt max 356.74+/−46, after heart failure by wu babutuo injected 1.5 ml into a vein after 5min, HR, LVP +dp/dt max, +dp/dt max decrease all to 198.56+/−40.42*, 12.02+/−4.15*, 469.43+/−122.15**, 332.76+/−186.94, after application isosorbide diinitrate as positive control in HR, LVP +dp/dt max +dp/dt max are 122.07+/−34.9, 15.41+/−1.34, 232.4+/−23.1, 115.44+/−9.8, However, used PDS 10mg/kg after 30min, HR 172.09+/−62.1, these index (LVP +dp/dtmax +dp/dtmax) are increased 16.21+/−3.97, 804.54+/−26.9**, 450.75+/−42.4. Conclusion These result suggested that PDS 10mg/kg enhance the index of myodynamia, effectively improve the contraction of cardiac muscle and excite cardiac muscle cells, show mitigate the affection of heart failure.
