This lecture will focus on the construction and utility of microarrays comprised of thousands of different peptoids (oligo‐N‐substuted glycines) linked covalently to chemically modified glass slides. We will discuss how these arrays can be employed to identify high affinity protein ligands of utility for manipulating the function of the target proteins. We also describe how these arrays can be employed as analytical devices to monitor the response of sub‐proteomes to various physiological stimuli. Possible applications of these arrays in medical diagnostics will be discussed.
