Civil engineering field is one of the most ancient industries in today’s world and also it is the ever growing sector. The construction industry counters with new challenges in this fast growing world and tries to cope with a unique and most deserving solution to the problem. The structural engineering stream is ever growing with the advanced and technology coming and implementation of the same. The civil engineering is mainly concerned with the man’s needs and protected shelter to work and with various changing conditions structural engineering is also being advanced to cope with the fast growing world. The International Conference on Emerging Research Trends in Structural Engineering(ERTSE-2020), held at Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, India on July 16 & 17, 2020, was jointly organized by a group of pioneers of academic research on the various aspects of Structural Engineering supported by an eminent group of international scientific committee members active in this field. The industry partner for the conference was NORMET India Pvt.Ltd, Chennai. The conference was conducted in the online mode due to the complete lockdown that was followed in most of the countries because of COVID 19 and no clue about end prediction of it. With the development of advanced technology, the virtual conference is increasingly used to bring people in various locations together. The conference was hosted entirely over the Internet using Zoom platform designed specifically for the virtual experience. List of Editors, Committee, Technical Committee are available in this pdf.
