Air pollution as a result of lead evaporation from the surface of melts is considered. Conditions for aerosol diffusion by convective and circulation flows are given. The method of analogy between processes of heat and mass transfer was used for the calculation of evaporation. A program set was developed and new data were obtained on the amount of lead transferring into the air from the melts open surfaces and during transportation in ladles with considering of the cooling.
