The article analyzes the existing types of road network management, considers the process of introducing coordinated management in more detail. The basic principles of the organization of this type of control using traffic lights are determined, the basic parameters of the traffic flow necessary for its organization are established. An experiment was carried out on the main city highway using a simulation product and a comparative assessment of changes in the main characteristics of the traffic flow before and after the introduction of coordinated control was made.
