In the present study, we develop a one-dimensional semiconductor photonic crystal to control ultraviolet radiation. We study the transmittance spectra of incident light on the proposed structure in the ultraviolet regime. A photonic bandgap appears with a width of 95.2 nm. by changing the thickness parameters, it can reach up to 125.6 nm with appearing of new band gaps. The incident angle effect on the band gap’s width is apparent. The bandgap shifted to a lower wavelength region. So the proposed structure could be useful in preventing UV radiation from passing through it.
