The reported study presents an asymptotic series solution to a system of differential equations in powers of a small parameter K depending on melting and a mechanical energy dissipation rate. Further, a self-similar solution has been found, as a consequence, a profile of velocities, pressure, principal operational characteristics, load capability, and friction force have been determined for a partially grease-filled working gap.
