Influence of anisotropy of elastic and of strength properties on the stress-strain state near wells and openings is considered. The choice of parameters characterizing both types of anisotropy is discussed. A method of experimental determination of the parameters characterising anisotropy of both elastic and strength properties from the direct measurements using true triaxial loading systems is described.
