The presented below article redefines the economic security criteria taking into account the current conditions of deepening globalization. It also outlines and analyzes the threshold values of economic security criteria on the example of the Russian Federation. Potential measures are put forward to maintain the appropriate level of economic security in this country, taking into account the impacts of various external factors. The comparative analysis carried out within the article explains the necessity to strengthen the presence of the institute of state in the processes of economic restructuring and economic security support.
