Active sub-arrays structure design is an important part of phased array radar design. The basic architecture and composition are introduced, especially the different between brick, tile and chip sub-arrays are discussed. Integrated design of radiating unit and sub-array, intelligent health detection system and electromagnetic compatibility, microelectronics and topology optimization design, application of new materials, which considered to be four key technologies, are also pointed out.
