
The role and place of small innovative enterprises in the construction industry in the modern economy of single-industry towns

This article gives an author’s interpretation of a Russian single-industry town, in which the key factor in the socio-economic development of a territory is the successful development of a town-forming enterprise. It is proved that the development of single-industry towns can be promoted by the development of small innovative entrepreneurship. One of the promising forms of small business development may be the construction industry, which is one of the most promising industries in Russia. The main social functions of small business in the construction industry are highlighted.
