
Bead formation research in TIG welding of AISI 304 steel

On the basis of the experimental results in depositing strips of molten metal onto AISI 304 steel using the D-optimal plan of the experiment and processing of the got results, regression equations were obtained describing the dependence of the bead width and the penetration depth depending on the welding speed and the value of the welding current. In parallel, a regression equation is obtained connecting the arc voltage and the welding current.
