The possibility of using ladle electric steelmaking slag as a flux – additive in the welding flux based on slag from silicomanganese production is considered. The effect of this flux – additive on the properties of the deposited metal is shown. The optimal composition of welding flux with the flux – additive providing a favorable appearance and properties of the weld metal was revealed.
