Various models of the mechanism of smoke-black formation in the combustion chambers of an engine during the combustion of hydrocarbon fuels with the addition of alcohol are considered and analyzed. The models most suitable for use in numerical modeling of the diesel engine workflow are selected. To assess the effect of alcohol on the smoke-black content in exhaust gases, a calculation model was used, the main provisions of which are presented in the work.
