The justification of the model of dust cloud formation during the passage of a forest train on a dry road surface is given. Given the previous studies on sedimentation of single particles and a dust cloud, a formula is obtained that allows one to calculate the initial and average sedimentation velocity of a dust cloud taking into account changes in the concentration of dust in the cloud.
