A combined effect of deformation in bush liner and non-Newtonian (couple stress(CSF)) fluid is studied here for the system of partial arc journal bearing. A Reynolds equation with modifications along with elasticity equation, solved to satisfy the conditions of boundary. The effect of using CSF with bearing deformation on load carrying capacity, maximum pressure, static and dynamic characteristics is observed. An iterative procedure is adopted to solve system of equations by using FEM approach.
