Preface

The International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Modern Technologies 2019 (MEMT2019) was held at Tomsk Polytechnic University, Tomsk. Russia on October 28–November 1, 2019. MEMT2019 is a scientific forum where researchers, students and industry professionals exchange their ideas, share experience and discuss technical issues in the field of mechanical engineering, material sciences, modelling and automation. The conference program included as well the workshop for young scientists “Modern technologies and equipment” with participation of representatives of Ariel Corporation, USA. The representatives of such companies as Komatsu (Germany) and Domist (Czech Republic) spoke at the Conference opening ceremony. The sessions covered the following topics: • Machine and mechanisms reliability; • Electrical engineering and mechatronics; • New manufacturing technology; Materials science and nanotechnology in mechanic engineering; • Automation and modeling of engineering processes; • Industrial safety; • Design in mechanic engineering. We appreciate contributions from all participants of MEMT2019.
