The IAECST-International Conference on Traffic and Transportation Engineering and Management (TTEM 2019), organized by Tongji University, enjoyed a big success in Guangzhou, China on December 20-22, 2019. We aim to provide a sharing platform for experts, scholars and practitioners in the field of Traffic and Transportation Engineering and Management from east and west to share their latest research achievements, explore the frontier technologies and enhance the development of Traffic and Transportation Engineering. During the seminar, Mr. Zuguo Cheng, senior engineering from Institute of Rail Transit, Tongji University, gave his research speech on vehicles and rail transportation system. Then we also had Dr. Devinder Yadav from The University of Nottingham shared his research on Regulatory Framework for Development of the Aviation Industry . Finally, associate professor Bing Zhang from the school of Transportation and Logistics, East China Jiaotong Univeristy also share his view on the development of transportation engineering in China. These insightful keynote speeches shed some spotlight on the conference, which gained huge applause on site. The proceedings of TTEM 2019 were carefully selected and reviewed under rigid process, which cover a wide variety of topics, such as traffic information engineering, traffic and transportation planning and management, road engineering and planning, traffic and transportation economy. We are pleased to present the proceedings of TTEM 2019, which are ready for international publication. Our heartfelt thanks go to the keynote speakers and all participants attending the conference, who have made TTEM 2019 a great success. We also want to thank our sponsors for their generous supports. We hope the proceedings of TTEM 2019 can serve as a helpful reference to the readers around the world. We aim to hold this conference every year, and we hope it can be held better next time.
